Kickwheel / Elements Clay Studio &
Gallery, Inc.
-update-
After months of waiting, we have some news
to report! Our building at 1986 Tucker Industrial Road has finally sold. The new owners move in at the end of May. What next,
you ask? MOVING OUT! So where are we going?
Elements Clay Studio:
The current session of classes will
be our last in this facility. Christine will be relocating the studio in Tucker and opening as Zen and Now Clay Studio. Course information will soon be available at www.zenandnowclaystudio.com (info@zenandnowclaystudio.com). ALL student and instructor work, tools and supplies must be cleared
out before closing. We will continue, in the meantime, to fire as much work as possible. It is critical
that all students finish their current work and move pieces through the process so that they can be finished
in time. We will not be able to extend this deadline to accommodate firing. We will not be responsible for moving or storing any equipment, supplies
or work that does not belong to Elements Clay Studio. All other materials left will be thrown out.
Kickwheel Pottery Supply:
Jason and Megan will be
relocating the clay and glaze production operation and retail showroom, and will continue to bring you the KPS
clays and glazes you love. The store will be renamed the Stone Mountain Clay & Glaze Company, clayandglaze@yahoo.com. The new shop will be less than 2 miles away from Kickwheel's
current location.
Obviously there is a lot to pack and move. Please keep checking in with us, as the
closing date approaches various products, materials and eventually some equipment, fixtures and furniture will
be available for sale at substantial discounts. All that we ask is that people please be respectful
and fair to others' work and property during this chaotic time.
We have listed important
dates for customers, students, staff and resident artists below:
4/19: Last day that clay will be sold to students for use/firing in ELEMENTS
studio and kilns.
4/22:
Last day of scheduled classes (many end earlier)
5/3: Studio rental rooms must be
vacant and empty (KPS is not responsible for moving
or storing any personal supplies or personal furniture. We will not be providing any manpower, assistance or equipment
to facilitate moving).
5/10:
All student work and property must be picked up from the studio (Classroom and drying room shelves will be cleared, all work left at this time will be discarded, except
for pieces ALREADY in the back for firing).
5/21: Last day of business at KPS, 10 a.m. – 5 p.m.
Thanks to all
of our customers and students who have stood by us, we appreciate your support, business and creativity throughout the years.
We appreciate every one of you, and the beautiful art that you have created from our products will keep Kickwheel around in
spirit for a very long time.
Thank you for your support.
